DISRUPTIVE PLANETS
discovering and studying new worlds to consolidate our understanding of planets and habitats.

I have a background in physics and am interested in using statistical and mathematical frameworks to understand the natural world. During a two-semester project with Professor de Wit, we developed novel methods to analyse faint signals and search for hydrogen exospheres around the TRAPPIST-1 planets. This included understanding the statistics of noise on a detector and developing models and fitting processes to maximise the science that could be extracted from the signal.
